The only problem I see with that is compatability and optimization issues with hardware. With console games you don't have to worry about compatability because they're all the same. PCs are custom built with different parts.
True, but only in the same manner that the 360 pwns the PS2. It's a friggin' generation ahead. What do you think it's gonna do? I say the goal should be to make it better than the PS4.
That may be true if people just stopped working on Live to make it better. How hard is it to catch up to a person standing still in a race? However, MS will not stand still. They will continue to innovate and anyone who tries to play catch up will have their work cut out for them. The only real hope for competitors is innovation of their own, and I'm sorry but free pricing is not innovation.

I thought this game was pretty intriguing when I downloaded the trailer from Xbox Live. I am definitely going to give it a good playthrough. Team Fortress 2 looks fun as well. The fact that both of these games come with HL2 as a bonus just makes it even better.

Aside from your first paragraph (I never played Republic Commando) I'm going to have to admit I'm feeling the same way. 360 still has more games I'm looking forward to, but PS3's got some pretty good looking stuff coming out as well.

Both your posts make sense, but I'd just like to clear up a couple things. DOAX2 is not a fighting game, Mass Effect is not first person, and as far as I know, Viva Pinata is not a platformer. Just thought you might like to know.
I feel you man. You're in exactly the same boat as me at the moment. Oh well, I preordered the game almost a month ago so at least I'll have it when my 360 comes back.

I saw the video when it came out on the Marketplace. It looks like fun.
Just use the HD component cables out of the box. You really don't need HDMI for HD graphics. Unless you don't mind paying top dollar for a marginal upgrade, I just saved you $100.(considering you go the 360 route)
